Profile bio

About Michael Tang

I have been studying and working with UAVs and robotics since I was in high school. From buying and crashing my first cheap drone in high school to designing and building a fridge-sized ultra-heavy lift UAS as my project turned capstone. It has always been a passion of mine to try to make my dreams a reality as the main project, Swarm Carrier, I have been working on for the past three years is finally becoming a reality!I am currently a 5th year at Northeastern University in the BS/MS Mechanical Engineering program with a concentration in Mechatronics. My main interests have been for composite material analysis, V&V testing, and mechanical design of UAVs and robotic systems. I have also been heavily involved in Northeastern University's Aerospace NU club as a project lead for NUAV to lead the mechanical design of sUAS, flight test operations, and management of CAD for the group. The best part of my time at Aerospace NU was not only my ability to follow my passion but teach other students the joy and sense of accomplishment that comes from the design process!
