Direct and oversee the preparation of bi-weekly payrolls for all employees at the New York State Fairgrounds, both year-round and at fair time. Responsible for processing of all paperwork and signing up of new employees, as well as termination of any employees. Accountable for processing salary increases, salary advances, inconvenience pay, overtime payments, meal payments, including any germane union agreements. Process fringe benefit payments for any union locals working at the Fairgrounds. At fair time, process all paperwork and corresponding payroll for the 1700 temporary fair workers including all time records within a strict and tight deadline. Oversee and maintain complete personnel records for all employees, including time and attendance accruals, health benefits, retirement, unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation and other applicable benefits. Responsible for calculation and payment of payroll taxes for each bi-weekly payroll. Interact with New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets and the New York State Office of the Comptroller on processing of bi-weekly payrolls. Significant achievements include: - Spearheaded implementation of technology that improved tracking of time records and reduced errors in bi-weekly payrolls.- Direct summer support staff, including all required training for orientation of new employees, record-keeping, payroll processing, and use of required computer applications- Responsible for managing Fair’s advance sale ticket and ride book program resulting in approximately two million dollars in revenue annually.- Awarded Comptroller’s Payroll Achievement awards for payroll processing.

Assist in the processing of competition entries for the State Fair. Helped to install a new computer entry system for the 1986 Fair. Assumed management of State Fair's advance sale promotion and have retained responsibility for the program since that time. Assumed leadership of the Payroll Department while payroll clerk out on maternity leave for three months.
