Specific areas included induced seismicity, renewable energy, and water resources management.

Commander of a 700-person engineering, construction and operations organization with an annual program of $700M across KS, OK, and TX. Responsible for the civil works program including flood control, navigation, hydroelectric power generation, water supply, environmental restoration, water quality, and recreation at the 38 lakes/reservoirs and along the McClellan Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System. The District’s military construction mission supported six U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force installations and included the successful completion of the BRAC construction program and the development of an increasing program in support of installation O&M requirements. Coordinated disaster response preparation/execution plans with multiple Federal agencies and state and local authorities. . Top ranked district stakeholder engagement in the Corps of Engineers in all customer surveys.

Director of a 60-person engineering staff operating from multiple locations globally to support U.S. military forces in the Middle East, Southwest Asia, and portions of Africa. Regional program manager for a $4B military construction program including master planning and environmental projects for permanent and contingency bases. Planned and coordinated the requirements and movement of engineer and route clearance equipment from world-wide manufacturers to the deployed end users. Member of the commander’s strategic planning team focused on the 5-10 year planning horizon for theater security engagement requirements in future programs.

Program and project manager supporting Defense activities in homeland defense and homeland security missions. Organized, led, and developed the staff responsible for the daily activities of the Combatant Commander as the senior military leader responsible for homeland defense and disaster response across the nation. Developed, programmed, and executed disaster response planning and training with multiple Federal agencies, including FEMA and DHS, and state and local authorities. Responded to Hurricane Katrina leading interagency coordination of numerous actions. Coordinated all military engineer support to counter-drug operations with numerous other Federal agencies.

Commander of a 600-person engineering and construction organization operating in the U.S. and Iraq. Established the vision and managed the organizational dynamics during deployment and redeployment to maintain unit readiness in preparation of all future assignments. Managed multiple construction projects across northern Iraq, including the planning, security, and resourcing for each project. Managed the operations, training, human resources, equipment maintenance, and logistics of subordinate units from the Active Army, National Guard, and Army Reserve distributed across three states.

Summary of Previous Work includes engineering command and staff assignments in the US, Europe, Central America, and the Middle East- Director of Public Works in the Sinai, Egypt; responsible for facility engineering, maintenance, power generation and distribution, and operation of the water desalinization plant. Planned, budgeted, and executed the SRM program.- Systems Analyst in the overhaul of the U.S. Army Officer Personnel Management System; developed the mathematical models and conducted sensitivity analyses.- Systems Analyst for major weapons systems acquisitions, including engineer, artillery, and UAV systems, focused on identification of key performance parameters of end users.- Commander of a 200-person engineering and construction organization operating in the US, Central America, and Southwest Asia.
