Managed the development of the strategy for delivering specialized emergency equipment to any nuclear plant in the country within 24 hours. As the manager of this project I was instrumental in leading the team to design, fabricate, store, and deliver the equipment. We also develop standard operating procedures that could be easily tailored to the specific needs all 100 nuclear units in the country. Prepared and participated in scope definition and control and managed the development and maintenance of the industry’s resource loaded detailed schedule. Implemented project controls governing cost, budget development, tracking, and resource allocations. Interacted with nuclear site representatives, the Nuclear Energy Institute, INPO, and senior industry executives to ensure projects objectives and goals were aligned and being met. Developed and implemented successful demonstration drills at two utility sites. The project was completed on-time and within budget and approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Top Innovative Practices (TIP) Award from Nuclear Energy Institute for the National SAFER Response Centers, May 2016.

Wrote and implemented the project controls implementation plan, work authorization process, change control process, and earned value management program. Created and maintained a 20,000 activity, resource loaded integrated schedule, updating the schedule on a weekly basis for the integrated engineering, procurement, and construction baseline schedules. The innovative scheduling approach we implemented was presented at the PMI Scheduling Conference in 2009 and received high praise from the attendees.
