As Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), I am the senior agency official responsible for developing, maintaining and overseeing the agency-wide information security program. Develop, maintain and oversee policies, processes and control techniques to address all applicable information security requirements. Oversee the establishment and maintenance of information security on an automated and continuous basis. Detect, report, contain and mitigate incidents that impair adequate data and infrastructure security. Train and oversee personnel with significant information security duties as well as assist senior agency/departmental officials regarding their IT security responsibilities. Collaborate with the White House, OMB, DHS and FBI programs to develop IT security policy and coordinate its implementation. Collaborate with the federal CIO and agency CIOs to establish, maintain and update documentation on an enterprise network, system, storage and security architecture framework that must be submitted quarterly to the National Office of Cyberspace and appropriate security operations centers. The documentation must include how technical, managerial and operational security controls are implemented, how the controls maintain the appropriate level of confidence, integrity and availability of information systems based on cabinet secretary or agency director policy, National Institute of Standards and Technology governance and Federal CIO Council recommendations.

Provide oversight of human resources, finance and operations. Directly responsible for developing, communicating and pursuing corporate strategic goals. Analyze government Requests For Proposals (RFPs) and lead the writing of technical and cost proposals. Develop and maintain business partnerships, negotiating contracts and teaming agreements. Manage diverse IT portfolio by continuously monitoring metrics, identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, anticipating resource needs and reviewing budget. Perform annual performance and career objectives reviews, promoting the planning and attainment of personal goals.Coming firmly from a software development background, I've participated as a principal or lead developer on tasks since the companies inception. I primarily work with Microsoft technologies. In particular, Visual C#, ASP.NET, SharePoint, VB and MS SQL. • Founded company in 1998, growing company to 20+ employees, dozens of customers and several million in revenue• Created the first Domino virtual server farm, growing it to several thousand users before being absorbed by Prominic Corporation• Helped launch 4 successful start-ups
