Within my current role at NHS Direct I am solely responsible for the installation and maintenance of ICT systems within the Yorkshire region, with a combined total of 500+ users. This includes Microsoft and bespoke applications.My responsibilities include Active Directory management, Mail Exchange, hardware and software diagnostics and deployment as well as the config and installation of new and current Windows systems whilst maintaining an asset register across the estate. I am responsible for the 1st line maintenance of Cisco VOIP telephony and call recording systems, Other networked hardware and peripherals such as fax machines & printers.I have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft systems including; TCP/IP configuration, Windows 7/XP Operating systems, Windows Server 2003/2008, Microsoft Office 2003/2008/2010, Anti-Virus/firewall technologies including McAfee. Our primary mobile provider for the NHS is RIM BES so have BES experience.In 2009 NHS Direct won the West Yorkshire Urgent Care contract. This meant we had to implement several new bespoke applications in order to facilitate the new service, with this change I was then made responsible for the planning, training, installing and maintenance of several new applications and hardware, some unique to the NHS. These included SystmOne, Gem Authenticate, Smartcard I/O technologies, NHS Spine Portal and MyID. I was also made a RA agent and was solely responsible for managing and creating users on the Spine User Directory as well as assigning roles to staff from Health Advisers to General Practitioners.I was also the ICT Analyst lead for several other projects including the Windows 7 test and rollout for end users, this has also meant that I have a good working knowledge of virtual environments such as Citrix and VM Ware.

In my role at Fujitsu Services I was responsible for the logging and resolving of first and second line calls for the NHS Connecting for Health National Project for IT, we provided remote ICT Support for both desktop and laptop computers across the country for Windows operating systems including Office and all NHS applications.Bespoke Applications covered by this contract were Picture Archiving Communications System, RIS, Choose and Book, SystmOne, NHS Spine and Patient Demographics System. Because we only provided first and second line support for these applications this involved working closely with several other providers and developers to ensure any critical issues or development requirements were completed in good time.
