Endra develops photo and thermo-acoustic imaging technologies for clinical diagnostic and life sciences applications with aim of commercializing transformative point of care clinical applications. Beginning with an in-licensed core patent portfolio, Endra has developed enabling and product driven IP, and a clinical proof of concept platform.Functional responsibilities: operating plan, board and investor reporting & relations, business & IP strategy, and operations.• Developed and implemented: operational, product development, and IP strategies.• Filed multiple patents: core technology, product embodiment, and enabling technology.• Formed Endra life sciences and commercialized first photoacoustic tomography scanner for preclinical imaging. • Co-investigator of three year, $3m SBIR grant.• Organizational: recruited all functional roles: product & technology lead, product mgr., commercial operations mgr., software developers, IP mgr., and sub-system engineers.• Managed the development of a new ultrasound transducer array and digital acquisition system.

As the site leader and sales manager for the London, Ontario site, I led rapid growth and expansion of the business, and the integration of all functions into the Functional Imaging business at GE Medical Systems. Following acquisition the business had year-over-year growth of: 400%, 100%, and 30%. • Expansion to a new manufacturing facility, with 4x expansion of overall facility space• Hired 24 positions in first year of integration• Trained and mentored new hires in: sales, service, manufacturing, and engineering. • Developed the worldwide product planning roadmap for the Pre-CIinical business. Internally sold the flat panel volume CT scanning program, the first in class pre-clinical imaging platform that mimics clinical CT quality and performance. • Participated in integration of a division of Amersham PLC (cell imaging).

I was the founder of Enhanced Vision Systems (EVS) and led the company through acquisition, without any outside investment or dilution. EVS developed, manufactured, distributed, and supported cone-beam CT scanners for research applications. In association with The Robarts Institute (http://robarts.ca), EVS was formed to commercialize CT techniques and know-how developed at the imaging laboratories of The Robarts Research Institute (http://imaging.robarts.ca).EVS was acquired by General Electric Medical Systems in 2002. EVS was self-funded through contracts and services, while bootstrapping the development of commercial product. EVS was a leader in x-ray CT technology and identified as best in class by GE. •System architect of two commercial micro-computed tomography (μCT) scanning systems: a high resolution in vitro scanner and a rotate gantry, small animal, in vivo scanner. • Developed, built, tested, and delivered a prototype μCT to Lilly pharmaceuticals. The system has been used by the bone biology group to study the efficacy of new compounds and treatments.•Developed a new x-ray detector based on a large area CCD and fiber optics. •Developed reconstruction software for 3-D conebeam CT applications.
