I am a devoted husband and dedicated father of ten beautiful children. Building this family and raising our kids has been an incredible journey with limitless joys and fortune. Accomplishing this while a military professional has only added to the adventure. My accomplishments as a military officer include twice leading a command, control and communications organizations in charge of orchestrating, managing and leading combat airpower in support of theater and national objectives. Two recent professional accomplishments include complete transformation of the application of global combat airpower to support, commanders abroad. This transformation increased the effectiveness and efficiency in which airpower originating in the US can be applied to a battlespace on any part of the globe. Secondly, I was charged with relocating 19 B-1 combat bomber aircraft from Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas to Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City South Dakota for three months while the Dyess runway underwent major repairs. I led a team that moved the aircraft and 300 people north to Ellsworth. While Ellsworth was a B-1 base, we built a team of aircraft maintenance, mission support and medical support to operate largely on our own with little impact to the on-going Ellsworth operations. This move of aircraft allowed Dyess civil engineers the opportunity to rapidly fix an ailing runway saving the US government 14 million dollars.The early days of my career comprise of multiple flying assignments in B-52 and B-1 aircraft as navigator, radar navigator, and weapon systems officer, including combat time in Operation Allied Force, the B-1’s first sustained combat deployment. I was an instructor in all positions as well and a Weapons School Graduate in the B-1 course. Additionally, I progressed through assignments as Flight Commander and Assistant Director of Operations in the B-1 and Division Chief, Director of operations and Commander twice in Air Operations Centers.
