As a Science Writer and Editor in Iowa Institute for Oral Health Research, I develop, direct, and manage a scholarly writing and editing initiative to enhance faculty, staff, residents, and students skills in writing for grants and publications. I am also involved in writing content for the weekly collegiate newsletter and other collegiate outreach materials. Previously, I was a test and content specialist for a high-stakes graduate-level assessment. I primarily write and develop content in ELA (e.g., reading comprehension, sentence and grammar correction), critical thinking and reasoning, and ethics. Before I became a content specialist, I taught philosophy, ethics, and general education courses full-time for 3 years at the undergraduate level, and part-time as a graduate student for 6 years.
