First attended DCU studying Computers and business. During the year I realised that my focus and talent was more drawn by the business side of the course and decided I wanted to pursue a full course in this area. During my year off study, I obtained full time work in my local Londis store which I held onto for the next 5 years in a assistant/managerial role. Within those 5 years I received a 2.1 degree in Economics and Finance, and a diploma in Business studies. In the penultimate year of my studies I attended and won 1st place in Ernst and Young Head to Head business challenge by presenting a business case to a panel of Directors and Partners. As a result, I secured a position on their Summer internship programme, which subsequently led to me obtain a graduate position for the following year after I finished my studies.
