Manage a staff of thirty-eight that work on two shifts and covering with overnight call. For a Trauma 3 Hospital with a case volume of 70 - 90 cases a day. While maintaining all equipment, surgical instruments, set count sheets as well as the department budget and staff education needs are being meet. Rounding daily with the department customers to ensure that we are meeting customers' needs. Onboarded several surgeons requested instruments by capital purchase or convert unused instrument sets. Oversee disposable product inventory watch stock that is expiring help move product in the system, reduce pars or remove from stock. Pending product history of usage and what preference cards content the product.Fill in for Materials Management in a as needed bases on a day to day occurrence. Ensured all needs of the surgical case are meet three to five days out. Arrange for approved loaners to be used. Fulfill Bill Only Purchase Orders from loaner implants via PeopleSoft. Run several different PeopleSoft reports to ensure Periop & Sterile Processing is running smoothly.
