As the Water Treatment Plant Chief Operator at City of Painesville, I am responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of the water supply for the community. I oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and testing of the plant, as well as the training and supervision of the staff. I have a Class 3 water supply certification and a full lab certification, which enable me to perform complex analysis and troubleshooting of the water treatment processes and equipment.I am also a recent graduate of the Ohio State University's cybersecurity program, where I learned how to protect and secure the digital systems and networks that are essential for the water industry. I have a strong interest in applying my cybersecurity skills to enhance the resilience and reliability of the water infrastructure and to prevent cyberattacks and disruptions. I have over 11 years of combined experience in the water treatment field, working with Aqua America and Village of Fairport Harbor as a plant operator. I am passionate about providing clean and safe water to the public and advancing my knowledge and skills in the water and cybersecurity domains.
