The Oasis Shopping Centre Broadbeach

In the two years of management at The Oasis I successfully saw through the initial stabilisation of the asset with Brookfield to facilitate the sale of the asset. The acquisition phase between Brookfield and Abacus required active management of all stakeholders, including team members, centre tenants and suppliers, retail customers and both the the vendor and purchaser. The acquisition phase between Brookfield and Abacus required active management of all stakeholders, including team members, centre tenants and suppliers, retail customers and both the the vendor and purchaser. Following the sale of the asset to Abacus, the scoping and project definition phase was followed by the commencement of development work on the asset. My management and retail property experience was of enormous value at each of these key periods for Oasis Shopping Centre over the two years. Brought in for the stabilisation phase of the asset's lifecycle, I successfully managed the centre through the due diligence and sale process. I oversaw major capital projects including the reinstatement of the Oasis Monorail to operating status, and the replacement of the fabric roof structure.

I oversaw the operational, asset and development management of The Pines Shopping Centre for four years. During this period, I completed a master planning review, gained owner approval for a redevelopment of the asset, assembled a project team and produced a development scheme that culminated in a Development Application being lodged with City of Gold Coast. I coordinated feasibility modelling on prospective asset acquisitions for client funds, resulting in the acquisition of retail asset in New Zealand and successful adoption and execution of adjacent property acquisition plans for retail assets in Australia.
