I have studied and graduated with a BA honours in business management from the University of Derby. I am experienced in top Customer Service and Sales Work, with experience in management from the leisure and hospitality industry. Also briefly worked in the gambling & casino industry dealing with clients such as Genting Casino and Coral bookmakersI pride myself in my customer service ability and have a confident attitude towards life. In my spare time I love being involved and coaching an Under 10's football team called Derwent Devil's. We used to train once a week, but since coming on board we now train twice a week plus games on a Sunday. The lads make it worth it every single week and I love being involved with the club, especially as they are at an age where they want to win more and want to developI am also involved with quite a bit of charity work. The charity I work with most is Cardiac Risk in the Young which is a charity close to my heart and organise yearly events to raise funds and also help raise awareness. I ran the 2015 London Marathon in 4 hours 15 minutes for CRY raising over £2,000 and I was meant to be running the 2020 marathon but due to Covid that has been delayed till 2022. I am aiming to beat my time I set when I was 21 years old (hard task I know) but also wanting to raise much needed funds and awareness for a great charityI started my working career when I was 13 at a local sports centre where I made my way up the ranks to Football Operations and Centre Manager. I left and came back 3 times trying to go university or gain management experience elsewhere but I was very proud of what I was able to achieve at Willows Sports Centre and also for the opportunities they gave me.While studying Business Management at the University of Derby I wanted to gain some management experience elsewhere, so I left for Derby Sports Bar as a simple barman but I do remember saying in my interview I want to be supervisor (even with no bar experience) and was told that would take months. After 1 month of working there and being highest seller every weekend I was made supervisor and was wanting the next stage of Assistant Manager. Towards the end of my time with Derby Sports Bar an opportunity came to be Assistant Manager and take on more roles and responsibilities which I was able to relish.Moving forward to today I am now a Business Development Manager for Sky Recruitment Solutions and am relishing the opportunity to get to meet loads of new people and businesses around the Derby and East Midlands Area and also offer from my previous experiences
