This was a voluntary role which I held in part time for 7 years. Duties included:• Managing the maintenance budget for the school and represent the professional client face co-ordinating all the school’s buildings projects.• Overseeing the successful delivery of the school’s building projects which ranged from regular maintenance works through to one-off extensions and alterations. Spending in excess of £500,000 over seven years• Delivering the full upgrade of all the teaching spaces at the school including the hall and playground • Advising the Trust on the implications of major property acquisitions as well as the implications of new legislation like the DDA. Rosemead is a small independent school and a registered charity with limited means but great ambition. It is unique because it is one of just four or five schools that is wholly owned and managed by the parents of the school.
