About Michael Tyree

I am transitioning from Naval service following over 20 years of experience in leadership development, crisis response, project management, and risk management in positions both at sea and at shore. A Surface Warfare Officer by trade I have had a broad portfolio of experience at sea in engineering, operations, and combat systems and on a diverse set of platforms.I have spent 6 years in senior leadership positions, to include command of three different ships, to include as part of the Forward Deployed Naval Forces (FDNF). I greatly enjoyed bringing together cross functional teams to tackle the most challenging problems both at sea and ashore.Both on and off of ships as a Systems Engineer I have amassed 8 years experience on project management specifically in the space and cyber domains as the director for capabilities at two different joint commands.
