Michael Uetz is a principal with Midan Marketing, a full-service marketing group providing the meat industry with support in the areas of strategic planning, meat merchandising and marketing, program development and implementation. Prior to co-founding Midan Marketing, Uetz worked as an independent consultant with expertise in commodity product marketing. Uetz has a strong background in market research, with extensive experience studying consumer behavior and buying patterns. Uetz also has worked on many projects involving the introduction and marketing of new products and programs, strategic planning, and technology program development and management. Much of his work focuses on identifying opportunities to better market and promote commodity products like fresh meat to consumers through the retail and foodservice channels. Prior to becoming a consultant, Uetz worked for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association/National Live Stock & Meat Board for nine years.
