I am attending college at Bowling Green State University/Firelands Campus in Ohio. After rediscovering my voice that was taken from me at a young age due to a traumatic event that occurred, I now implore others to find and use their voice positively. I’ve shared my journey and experiences with the help of the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities (OCECD) and then collaborated with them (OCECD) on initiating the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP). I was a speaker at OCALI (Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence) in 2022, presented at the 2023 Family Engagement Leadership Summit, and am the proud recipient of the R.A. Horn Award in 2023. Currently, I’m collaborating with RAISE (Resources for Advocacy Independence Self-Determination and Employment) as a youth consultant.Currently, I am working as a conference technician at Bowling Green State University/Firelands as a student worker. My job requires me to set up the auditorium, and private rooms for events and problem-solve any technology support issues as needed during events. Consistently I bring a strong work ethic, honesty, good communication, as well as humor to the table. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering in my community as a peer mentor with the Sandusky City Schools Gentlemen’s Club.As a freelance photographer, I enjoy taking still images of nature. My aim is to capture the beauty of nature in its purest form. During my junior year of high school, I took a photography class, which sparked my interest in pursuing this career. I was first drawn to photography because I was searching for an elective of interest and one that could help me move forward in the future. However, photography became much more than just another elective, it is now a passion worth pursuing. As a kid, I always enjoyed movies and video games and the stories they tell. Now, I create my own stories through pictures.
