Currently planning for Electric and E-Transit oriented grid resiliency projects. Project charter and scoping of various transmission and distribution construction projects. Planning for new Nassau County Electric Bus charging depot for a fleet of new E-buses. Requiring a distribution upgrade for the expanded loads. May include an interconnect to depot rooftop solar array of 1.5MVA peak output. Developed project plans & installed substation power for the new MTA / LIRR traction power substations for expanded service to Grand Central Madison. New substation doubles 3rd rail power available on Babylon line through southwest Nassau County. Dual redundant substation line-ups with storm ready backup feeder configurations. Completed installation support of 82 new Verizon 5G sites throughout the Village including site review of coverage maps. Initiated 82 new electric services requiring multiple pole equipment modifications. Currently planning replacement of 2 generators with 30-50 MWH of battery storage Direct the overhead and underground electric distribution system operation including upgrade of 80-year-old underground and overhead equipment. Created a "Build New Parallel Cutover " strategy. Building new feeders to major customers including Molloy College, Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital and Mercy Hospital South Campuses, serving their expansion plans. Engineering Design oversight of system changes and upgrades. Interact with NYSERDA, LIPA, NYISO, NYPA, PSEGLI, DEC, and the EPA. Collaborative support with Freeport Power and the other 71 NYS Public Power organizations.
