Management of all technical issues relating to Hanson quarry materials in NSW and the ACT. This involved a number of quarry deposits, including hard rock, river gravel, ripped sandstone and associated fine sand operations. Development and implementation of comprehensive Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and all technical systems was part of this role as well and overall responsibility for all NATA testing facilities in these states over that period.In addition I was responsible for the development and re-development of customised manufactured sand and roadbase solutions for specific projects such the M7 motorway, and other major infrastructure projects. Reduction in excess quarry stock on ground across the region was achieved through our dedicated quarry technical team and the implementation of innovative solutions to take product of zero stock value, combine and modify to raise them to full market price.

Establishment of a dedicated quarry technical team to service and support the Pioneer construction materials group in Eastern Region (NSW and ACT).

Provide a complete concrete and quarry technical service to the Hymix Australia business over an 11-12 year period. This included the establishment and management of the new NATA accredited facilities at Carrington and Brandy Hill quarry (for concrete, quarry, some soils and asphalt testing) for more than 10 years, including NATA signatory and authorised NATA representative. Full concrete mix design, specification and project review, technical support and trouble shooting for 8 concrete plants in NSW for 10 years and two concrete plants in Vic for a 2 year period. Quarry technical responsibilities for company owned hard rock and quarry deposits in Newcastle and the Central Coast, including specification and project review, full technical support of the materials and the crushing, screening and processing of the quarry products within this region.Presentation of papers at numerous Concrete Institute of Australia (CIA), CCAA, APMCA, ASCE and other professional functions and conferences.
