11 years as editor, 2 years as deputy editor, remaining period reporter.Also active, for several years, as Dutch correspondent Advertising Age in the US, later Dutch correspondent for Media & Marketing Europe (now M&M Global, in London). I still work for M&M Global.

Publication used to be a weekly about advertising, media and marketing, has now been converted into a bi-weekly about marketing, called Marketing Tribune

Management Totaal was a business/management monthly, published together with the NCD (Nederlands Centrum voor Directeuren en Commissarissen). Its name was later changed to ELAN, where I worked as editor-in-chief

Newsmagazine run by publisher VNU, folded after about a year. I started as business writer, was later appointed business editor. I was also Chairman of the Editorial Council (voorzitter redactie raad).Also active as Dutch correspondent The Wall Street Journal.

Covering Dutch news and writing features about the Netherlands, out of Amsterdam. Also did freelance work out of the Netherlands for The Economist (at the time, part of the same publishing organisation).

Dutch correspondent, first as assistant to official stringer Friso Endt, for Time Magazine, Fortune, Sports Illustrated in the USA and the Daily Mirror in London. Also contributed, under my own name, news and features to Travel Travel Gazette, Petroleum Times and Lloyd's List, based in London.

Became a journalist in London, where I was born, after briefly studying economics and English language there. Was editorial staffer at two trade magazines there, Petroleum Times (where I was News Editor) and before Metal Bulletin (writer/translator), and lastly a Reuters-like business news service called Universal News Services, general editorial work and translator (German, French and Dutch into English).
