This involved clear understanding of scope and design to successfully meet clients standards.As an engineer on the electrical team I played a diverse role, spreading into pre-commisoning, quality assurance, variations and supervisor duties as well as procurement, design verification, Instrumentation, HV and LV Power, lighting, Communications and management of subcontractors. It included continuous communication with the clients engineers through the pre-construction stage and construction to clear up design and material issues.Direct contact with suppliers and subcontractors was a major part through the project on developing relationships with clear communication to deliver all Materials on time and with high quality. During my time within the M&IS division I worked within the estimation and tendering team working on Tenders for QAL and BMA Goonyella Riverside. I worked within a small team environment performing design take-offs and pricing estimation for both scopes of work. This included sourcing quotes from several suppliers for the Instrumentation, Power & Control, lighting, earthing and Fire Safety systems.
