 Lead support objectives for OpenWorks, DSD, Decision Space Geoscience, Aries, DSDQ, EDM, EDT, Compass, DrillWorks, OpenWells, ProCount, Carte, PetroRegs, Spotfire, OpenView admin, Peloton WellView, Petrel, IHS Kingdom, Petra, Blueback Project Tracker for Petrel, Interica PARS Project Archive and Retrieval System, HP SAM, LeoStream, DSINSITE WITSML and OpenWire real-time WITSML data transfer into OpenWorks 5k, in Linux & Windows Application Hosted environment. Participate in the evaluation of current software and hardware and recommends appropriate upgrades and new purchases to satisfy the needs of the Exploration, Production and Drilling departments. Confer with Geoscience, Reservoir Engineering and IT personnel to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements such as forms of data input and how data is to be summarized and formatted for reports. Write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer scripts. Study existing procedures to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or workflow as required. Plan and prepare, or otherwise makes available, technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation of geoscience applications. Deliver presentations to IT and geoscience personnel about new, emerging technology that relates to geosciences reservoir characterization and development disciplines. Upgrades systems and works with vendors and IT development group to maintain systems after implementation. Collaborate with others to develop, test, install, and modify scripts. Maintains applications with patches and upgrades as needed.
