I am a 2L student at Penn State Law seeking internship opportunities in different areas of law, including corporate, financial, environmental, and sports and entertainment.I have worked in the field of student journalism for several years, first as Editor-in-Chief of Live Wire, a student publication that operated out of Harrisburg Area Community College's Lancaster campus. During my time at Live Wire, I also published articles for local newspapers, including LNP and the Lititz Record, both of which are based in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.I continued my involvement in student journalism through The Dangling Modifier, a publication at Penn State. Through these roles, I have become adept at not only writing and editing, but interpersonal communication with people from all backgrounds. My latest role, as a writing tutor for Penn State Learning, has allowed me to burnish preexisting skills and add new ones, too.My most recent job experience was as a Media Specialist for the PA House Democratic Caucus. This position saw me interacting with Democratic members of the PA House of Representatives, assisting them with news releases, speeches, social media, and other pieces of correspondence. Of preeminent importance, for both myself and the representatives, was to ensure their goals are being communicated in a clear, concise manner. I strived to be an exceptional communicator, both orally and through my writing. Representatives work tirelessly for their constituents--and I worked tirelessly to ensure their important messages were heard with eloquence, speed, and precision.Now, I hope to use my well-honed writing and communication skills to gain important experience in the legal field before becoming an attorney.
