Manage multiple capital expense construction projects of various sizes and complexity includingconstruction of new facilities, modifications/improvements to existing facilities, and expansions.Provide oversight for the execution of supplemental maintenance work such as extraordinarymaintenance items and turnarounds. My primary duties were to provide coordination betweenthe engineering group, contractors, and operations. Serving as the primary interface betweenBASF and the contractors and provided technical expertise and consulting in the bidding,execution, and acceptance of work from the contractors.

▪ Positively lead, directed and supervised a team of discipline Technicians in preparation and execution of commissioning of process facilities assuming entire responsibility for the completion and implementation in conformance with the client’s needs and HSE standards. ▪ Competently coordinated the commissioning activities, both in the planning and execution phase and assured that the project scope was divided up into systems that were defined to support ease of commissioning ▪ Liaised with the commissioning team to set priorities for system turnover that allows for productive simultaneous operations (SIMOPs) that allowed for safe commissioning of systems ▪ Successfully developed System Commissioning Procedures that were, approved, and finalized per the planning schedule to assure a safe and thorough commissioning of the facilities and made sure that the Commissioning execution plan included the materials, special tools, and vendor support required for a safe and productive pace ▪ Prepared manpower organization to fulfill the commissioning schedule and assured the commissioning staffing plan had the correct number of persons with the appropriate skills to execute the commissioning work ▪ Supported project Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) including: reviewing procedures, assigning resources, periodically attending FAT, and adjusting commissioning scope to integrate FAT successes and deficiencies. Worked with engineering and operations department to promptly find the preferred alternative for alleviating issues discovered during commissioning

▪ Managed the maintenance department for Hess assets in North Dakota with over 700 active oil and gas wells covering the northern half of the state of North Dakota with an annual budget of $33 M., 30 direct hire employees and 40 contract employees ▪ Worked with Global Supply Chain to improve parts inventory and availability to maintenance staff. Developed Asset Management Strategies appropriate for the criticality of I&C assets under consideration ▪ Facilitated / Participated in Structured Root Cause Failure Analysis, Asset and Instrument Criticality Analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis ▪ Analyzed elements of Reliability data, including: Overall Equipment Effectiveness losses, work order cost and failure code analysis, failure analysis, and maintenance of the asset hierarchy ▪ Managed Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Program including systematically defining, developing, monitoring and refining the preventive/predictive maintenance process for Control Systems and their components

Lead, directed and supervised a team of discipline technicians in preparation and execution of commissioning of process facilities assuming entire responsibility for the completion and implementation in conformance with the client’s needs and HSE standards. Ensured all construction activities were completed prior to taking over the systems for commissioning and ensured that safety procedures were in place for the same. Coordinated with the commissioning technicians to ensure the development of integrated commissioning plans including the scope of commissioning activities, duration for each, scope of interlinked activities and resources required. Reviewed project design packages and provided cost effective solutions to production control issues. Initiated regular review meetings with the client on issues such as HSE conformance and commissioning progress as well as meetings with the vendors to resolve any equipment related problems. Provided site deficiencies reports of currently installed equipment with recommendations for compliance with applicable codes. Assisted in the development of AS Built P&IDs and Cause and Effect matrix. Ensured that all safety and precautionary requirements and procedures were followed during the commissioning process as per HESS policies.

Instrumentation/Electrical Project Lead; Sonangol and Chevron were my primary clients in project management and cost effective engineering design, feasibility studies, preparation of work authorizations, project execution plans, work packages, planning and execution of brown field projects (FPSO and production platforms) for offshore as well as onshore production facilities. Participated in HAZOP design reviews. These services also included coordination, administration, monitoring and control of project deliverables, cost control, contract administration and safety in design engineering. Instrument specification, control system design and procurement. Review scope of work for new tender inquiries and prepare cost, man-hour estimates and other engineering aspects. Directly supervised engineers, subcontractors, specialists and drafting works pertinent to assigned projects. Lead engineer for E&I scope of work for various projects. Performed site visits offshore and onshore, conduct field surveys to determine detailed scope, and proceed with management and design coordination. Provided ongoing management and training for Angolan engineers.
