Michael is a passionate and inspiring Principal Process Engineer at Hunter H2O, with a vision for all water supplies across regional NSW to be safe and resilient.Growing up on a dairy farm in a small regional NSW community, Scone - the horse capital of Australia, has provided Michael with a unique perspective on water and appreciation of its value. Still a farm boy at heart, his regional background has cultivated meaningful impact throughout the water industry and has inspired collaboration across divisions.Michael is a strategic thinker who likes to get things done. Michael's passion for addressing regional water issues has given a voice to those concerns and has personally and professionally given frank and fearless advice to government agencies to attempt to overcome the regulatory hurdles and assist local water utilities. Michael puts enormous energy into deeply understanding problems and achieving solutions for his clients and the community.Michael was recently selected by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment (DPE) to join a strategic working group dedicated to reforming the regulatory framework in regional NSW. In 2022 Michael was recognised as the AWA Australian Young Water Professional of the Year.
