Served as President of the Executive Board of ETEBA and the TN Chapter and Board Member of ETEBA (2009-2017; 2019-2021; 2022-2024). The Energy Technology and Environmental Business Association (ETEBA) is a non-profit trade association representing approximately 250 small, large and mid-sized companies and affiliate members that provide environmental, technology, energy, engineering, construction and related services to government and commercial clients. The mission is to promote the success of its members by fostering market understanding, identifying business opportunities and advocating for the common interests of its member companies. Helped manage two virtual forums and 3 live forums for the ETEBA Southwest Chapter (New Mexico Forum) form 2020-2024. VP for marketing and business development efforts for SpectraTech's Engineering, Environmental, Nuclear, and Technical Business units while concurrently serving as General Manager for BAT Associates in Atlanta, Spectra Tech's first acquisition. Spectra Tech is an engineering, environmental, and nuclear services company that focuses on providing high quality and cost-effective technical solutions for U.S. Federal agencies, government contractors, and private commercial companies worldwide. As General Manager for BAT Associates, I was responsible for operations, P/L, personnel management, and business development for commercial utilities, financial institutions, storm water/MS4, Industrial Hygiene (IH), and environmental projects. BAT Associates was a one-year assignment but asked to continue one more year with the acquisition and operations management. Key new work bid/awarded included: D&D in Puerto Rico through US financial institution; remediation and groundwater work (Bureau of Indian Affairs) in Utah; long-term contract on a rebid for storm water/MS4 management at Ft. Campbell for the Louisville Corp; D&D specification and Hazard Waste Facility Permit and D&D at TVA Muscle Shoals; IH work at a commercial facility; and 5-year contract for Wetlands Permitting throughout the western US with the Dept. of Transportation (DOT) based in CO. All of these contracts were firm-fixed price.

In NM, managed large-scale remediation projects involving the demolition of WWII era buildings, demolition of concrete culverts used for testing uranium, including segregating the various waste materials and characterizing the contaminated soil, and preparing all associated reports. Managed the first remediation project at Sandia Lab in 1994, involving uranium calibration pits in TA-II. Characterized and remediated landfills containing hazardous, classified, and radioactive material/waste, managed drill rigs, field surveying teams, and construction crews. Assisted with a CERCLA site investigation at Sandia’s Kauai Test Facility, a missile launch facility in Hawaii. Project Task Leader managing a facility Operable Unit (OU) for Building 833 and the East and West Firing area, which involved writing and preparing the Sitewide Remedial Investigation (RI) report for both OUs. The sites contained soil and/or groundwater contaminated with solvents, including TCE, and metals and tritium. Responsible for managing all field activities, including facility and field survey teams, sampling teams, field and analytical sampling teams, construction and drilling teams, and all planning, budgets, and reports. Co-authored and/or contributed technically to several feasibility study and quarterly reports and publications. Included preparing abstracts/presentations at professional society meetings/conferences. Also, responsible for managing field operations/investigations of CERCLA sites at LLNL Site 300 and Main Site, which involved drilling operations; well installation and testing; sampling; fault investigations; landfill investigations; writing RI/FS documents, writing/preparing abstracts and papers and technical reports for State and Federal agencies. Installed over 200 monitor wells and boreholes throughout Site 300. Left for an opportunity to move to New Mexico and be involved in the site cleanup activities at Sandia National Laboratory with Intera/Duke Energy.
