Academic Auditor
CurrentI work in Excel Education Systems' Registrar department, processing the transcripts of our new/incoming students. This involves analyzing a transcript's data relating to a student's education history, accurately translating that information over to EES's own database, and overseeing strict adherence to the Minnesota Department of Education's unique high school graduation requirements. After completing this process, I create an overview of what credits the student still needs to take in order to graduate with an official MN State high school diploma. Accurate data entry is of great importance in this position to ensure that our student body has an excellent academic experience at EES, so I review all audits for oversights and clerical errors after completion. Accurate interpretation of the data in a transcript is also of vital importance to this position. In order to understand and execute audits correctly and efficiently, I have acquired intimate knowledge of the HS graduation requirements and transcript layouts from many of the United States of America's states and territories, including Puerto Rico and Hawaii. These requirements and layouts are by no means uniform across the USA's many states and schools, so this position requires problem-solving and research in order to accurately assess and present a student's current level of academic proficiency in the high school framework.
