Teach Capnography as a contract instructor for Medtronic

Serve as a member of the management team and lead EMS Quality Management Officer. Perform quality assurance reviews, lead division quality improvement initiatives, manage protocols, and facilitate activities between the company and the Medical Director. Assist the Operations Manager in the planning and setting of goals and objectives for the organization which include strategic planning and budget preparation. Assist in the oversight of EMS equipment maintenance, inventories, and supply orders. Represent AMR at local, regional, and state EMS meetings and assist with development and instruction of training programs. I currently serve as the Chair for the Missouri Time Critical Diagnosis (TCD) subcommittee to MARCER, Chair of the Mission Lifeline STEMI Committee, appointed member of the Missouri Region A EMS Committee, and Editorial Board member, author and reviewer for the new Missouri EMS Connection magazine.

Contract instructor for Zoll Medical. Topics of education include 12 lead and AutoPulse deployment.

Assist the Assistant Chief of EMS in the planning and setting of goals and objectives for the division which include strategic planning and budget preparation. Assist in the oversight of EMS equipment maintenance, inventories, and supply orders. Represent the district at local, regional, and state EMS meetings and assist with instruction of district training programs. Current Leadership roles include active membership on our EMS Committee, Director for our American Heart Association Training Center, Founder and Administrator for our Vital Heart program, founder and member of the Honor Guard, and site license coordinator for the CCEMTP program. Serve as the Chair for the Missouri Time Critical Diagnosis (TCD) subcommittee to MARCER, Chair of the Mission Lifeline STEMI Committee, appointed member of the Missouri Region A EMS Committee. Other activities include being the AHA Training Center Coordinator, CCEMTP Program Administrator, Vital Heart Program Administrator.

Lead, developed, and supervised a team of fire service professionals in all facets of emergency response in both the emergency and non-emergency setting. Conducted performance evaluations including the execution of performance improvement plans. Served as an incident commander, lead company level training activities, performed equipment maintenance, and ensured overall adherence to the departments’ policies and procedures. Primary instructor for our departments’ accredited EMS training division. Served as a tactical paramedic for the City of Blue Springs Police Department Special Tactical Assistance Team and a Hazardous Materials Technician for the department’s Hazardous Materials Team.

Responded to all alarms as assigned; operated fire suppression and rescue equipment during emergency and non-emergency operations, including but not limited to driving support vehicles (e.g. brush rigs, ACLS ambulance); provided emergency medical assessment and treatment at the BLS and ALS level. Performed light maintenance and station maintenance duties as prescribed; performed basic fire prevention functions including inspections and public education. Served as a tactical paramedic for the City of Blue Springs Police Department Special Tactical Assistance Team and a Hazardous Materials Technician for the department’s Hazardous Materials Team.

Served as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of Blue Springs. Also served as a Tactical Medic for the departments Tactical Team.

Responded to emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Provided emergency medical care including Advanced Life Support (ALS) at the scene, en route to the hospital and during transportation from facility-to-facility and emergency medical care as appropriate to established medical protocol. Conducted light maintenance and station maintenance duties as prescribed.
