Michael earned his BS in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University in 2008. He tutored in science and math for Purdue's athletic department while engaged as a research assistant in the Lab of Translational Neuroscience. In 2011 Michael enrolled in graduate studies while continuing research in this lab and earned an MS in Basic Medical Sciences at Purdue in 2014 with a thesis focused on blast-induced neurotrauma. While earning his masters, Michael expanded and enhanced his animal research skills by moving from tutoring to a part-time position as Lab Animal Technician in the Auditory Neurophysiology and Modeling Lab. In 2015 he was promoted to Lab Manager/Research Associate, taking on greater roles in graduate student and post-doc mentorship and research. Michael spent some time studying the biomechanics of developing cartilage in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, and training students in surgical techniques and serving as Lab Manager in the Center for Paralysis Research at Purdue.In early 2019 Michael joined the team Bionalytical Systems Inc. The role of Neuroscience Product Manager provided the opportunity to apply and hone essential skills in DfM, GMP, QC, SRM, and Product Marketing among others.
