Michael Walper is a Physiotherapist & Strength Coach who works in a mobile capacity throughout Alberta treating a range of clients and is sought out because of his expertise in sport. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McGill University, where he was also a member of the varsity football team as both an athlete and student therapist. Post, grad he completed his Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta.Michael has obtained a wealth of post-graduate experience in dry-needling, manual therapy, on-field management, sport taping, strength & conditioning and has even completed a 2 year massage certification. He has worked in a variety of settings that include private practice, biomechanical gait analysis & research, as well as sport performance. Outside of the typical Physical Therapist role, he has assisted in the oil & gas sector as a movement safety specialist focused on optimizing conventional safety programs toward a more preventative and proactive approach.Not only does Michael have a passion for working hard but also for health and staying fit. As an athlete, he continues to pursue excellence and enjoys all things active whether it is indoors or outdoors. Michael is especially drawn toward power oriented sports such as weightlifting, football and rugby. Most importantly, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, family and friends.
