In my role as a Fund Accounting Service Delivery Manager, I am the primary point of contact for two large UK Fund Accounting clients with a combined AUM of £40b+. In addition, I have one direct report that is the primary point of contact for three UK Fund Accounting relationships. I act as the primary point of escalation for those clients as well as managing my own.I manage varying pieces of communication between the Fund Accounting area and the clients, including day-to-day issues, project management and regulatory/industry updates. I work with all relevant utilitised areas within the company to produce detailed KPI statistics for the Clients and discuss these in detail on monthly reviews of service. I am responsible for building and maintaining a network of contacts, both internally and externally, in order that I can get issues resolved as quickly and efficiently as possible with the least possible disruption to the client's service level. Whilst in my role, I have been involved with a number of high-profile projects where I have been required to interact with all levels of stakeholders, both internally and externally, from utility area Supervisors to EMEA Heads of Function. This broad range of exposure has allowed me to further develop my communication and presentation skills.Alongside my role in Service Delivery, I have also been involved with the transfer of Fund Accounting services to Poland. This has included spending time in the Poland offices, giving feedback to Site Heads in Poland and Heads of Function in the UK and Ireland, and delivering training sessions to members of the Valuations team.

Manager in a valuations team with 19 reports. Responsible for the timely and accurate production of the NAVs of around 40 funds on a daily basis. Currently managing daily operations alongside a high-profile platform conversion for a priority client.

Assistant Manager in a team of 25 with 12 direct reports. Responsible for the timely and accurate production of the NAVs of around 100 funds on a daily basis.Managed several major projects from a Valuations perspective including client exits, large-scale fund change activity and migration of work to one of our India offices. Part of the work migration project allowed me the chance to spend some time in India and help our colleagues to implement operational efficiencies.

Over 4 years I organised a number of fundraising events on behalf of the charity working as an independent volunteer. Events ranged from quiz nights to black-tie fundraising balls at Old Trafford and Hilton Deansgate. As well as fundraising events, I helped to raise awareness of the charity by going into local businesses to talk to staff about the charity and the kind of work they do. During my time volunteering with Dreams Come True, I helped to raise around £15,000 to help them with the valuable work they do.

I am responsible for 4 administrators as part of a bigger team which is responsible for the timely and accurate production of the NAVs of around 75 funds on a daily basis. NAV production includes cash, asset and derivative reconciliation between accounting, the custodian and 3rd party brokers. Key Responsibilities:• Daily control of direct reports cash, stock, other assets, income and expenses• Daily control of direct reports accurate completion of periodic Net Asset Valuations• Support, investigate and resolve trustee, client and other external queries• Ensure completion of breach/discrepancy forms within risk defined timeframes• Maintain, review and document direct reports competency levels to identify training requirements• Proactively acquire and disseminate technical knowledge relevant to the teams functionalityIn my role, I gained good management experience, conducting monthly 1:1s and handling difficult situations and conversations.I also built up an extensive network of people across different departments and this has proved extremely useful. I have constantly worked with other departments to improve relationships and processes, including teams based in different locations around the globe.In my time in the team I have been responsible for a number of process improvements which have led to more efficient processing times and often tighter controls. Also took part in a successful offboarding of a large client to another TPA. This included project management, client facing meetings and the resolution of queries for internal and external clients in particular around the complex Pooling module of the Invest One accounting system.
