Served as the DEA Southern Cone Regional Field Intelligence Manager (FIM), a position funded by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence through DEA’s Office of National Security Intelligence. Managed DEA intelligence production in Lima, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Santiago, Montevideo, and Asuncion, and strategic intelligence production by SOUTHCOM J2 analysts assigned to temporary duty in Lima. Led 13 DEA Intelligence Analysts, providing operational and strategic intelligence support to the DEA mission and in liaison to host-nation and U.S. law enforcement counterparts and to U.S. Embassy agencies. Supervised production of intelligence reports on drug threats, WMD, DTO profiles, drug abuse levels, trafficking levels, patterns, methods and routes, seizure statistics, price and purity data, guerrilla involvement in drug activity, drugs-for-weapons exchanges, drug-related violence, political structure and legislation related to drug enforcement strategy and effectiveness, and official corruption. Edited DEA testimonies on U.S.-Andean Security Cooperation and others for the U.S. Senate Drug Caucus, briefed the National Security Council, and issued intelligence assessment reports including one forwarded to the White House for a Presidential Daily Brief (PDB).Served two-year appointment to the first FIM Advisory Council to represent all DEA FIMs in foreign offices worldwide in the advancement of the DEA Intelligence Program and career path.

Area of responsibility as the DEA Southern Cone Region's Field Intelligence Manager (FIM) included Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile. Served as part of the team that managed the shutdown and transfer of the regional office in January 2009 from La Paz to Lima, Peru, as a result of Bolivia's expulsion of DEA and the U.S. ambassador.

Group Supervisor of the Investigative Support Center at the multi-agency High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) facility. Supervised DEA, IRS and Coast Guard intelligence analysts, Cleveland PD detective, National Guard intelligence analysts, HIDTA contract analysts and student interns. Recruited and trained student interns from the Intelligence Studies program at Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA.

Assignments included 1 year at DEA Headquarters with the Organized Crime & Terrorism Unit; 5 years in Barranquilla and Bogota, Colombia; 2 years with the Trends Analysis Unit at the El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC) in El Paso, Texas; 6 years in Santa Cruz, Bolivia; 1 year at the National Drug Intelligence Center (NDIC) in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
