Years ago as a young cadet, I qualified as a U.S. Army Paratrooper. The seminal experience of attending Airborne school and the metaphor of jumping into troubled situations has served me my entire professional career.As an executive, I’ve “jumped” into:A Fortune 50 company with flat sales and in the following decade, quadrupled revenues of the business. I drove international expansion, entered new markets & products and participated in acquiring “bolt on” companies to expand the breadth, depth, scope, and reach of the organization.A bankrupt private equity held business that had universally lost the confidence of its customers, suppliers and most importantly, employees. Over the course of four years, I reestablished credibility across the stakeholder eco system, rebuilt & deployed a sales team that grew sales 50+% and successfully exited upon sale of the company.A small privately owned regional manufacturer struggling with product obsolescence and in three years repositioned the brand to achieve 35% growth. I pivoted into new markets, channels, and product categories to establish a sustainable growth trajectory and was subsequently recruited to replicate the strategy at another challenged business.As a systems thinker I intuitively see things as patterns or holistic systems, allowing me to think quickly on my feet, make rapid decisions, execute at a fast-pace, and adjust as needed.
