CurrentJob missionTo determine optimised spatial capacity, network configuration and technology for twenty year sub-regional network requirements.Functional outputsNetwork master planning by: Provide sub-regional master plans Implementing the master planning process. Determining alternatives to regionally optimise sub-transmission network capacity, voltage levels and configuration. Analysing macro environmental compatibility of sub-transmission network alternatives. Incorporating the Plant Refurbishment Master Plan. Determining the supply side 2 to 20 year electrification potential in conjunction with the SACS demand side plan. Applying alternative technologies sub-regionally ('wires' and FACTS). Performing network power system analysis. Providing input for the twenty year capital program. Performing macroeconomic evaluations.Regional geo-based load forecast by:Provides a regional geo-based load forecast Implementing the models used for area load forecasting based on land use, economic and demographic trends. Determining the network zoning of the load forecast. Checking the reasonableness of the geo-based load forecast. Comparing the SACS Sales and Revenue forecast with the geo-based load forecast.Integrated electricity planning by:Ensures the regional integrated electricity planning is co-ordinated Representing Planning at the Local IEP. considering demand side alternatives in preparation of master plan. Stakeholder liaison Providing input to Transmission Expansion Planning.
