Reporting to the CEO of this $750 million retail merchandising company serving the Free Standing Insert, In Store and Digital Merchandising Markets. Responsible for operations, procurement, logistics and distribution platforms.

Reporting to the owners of the enterprise the Vice President of Manufacturing is responsible for all manufacturing facilities, operating and capital budgets. Recruited by owners to be a change agent is the areas of safety, operating discipline and cost management. The role also included the management of an aggressive expansion plan. Key accomplishments included the due diligence and procurement of two Greenfield sites, the design of , permitting of and procurement of equipment for the first facility.

Responsible for the manufacturing, logistics, distribution, quality, compliance, research and development and product data management for a $700 million dollar enterprise. Reporting to the CEO.

Management of the operations of the Concentrator, Tailings and Water Services for a $2.5 Billion dollar mining operation in Salt Lake City Utah. Reporting to the Managing Director (CEO) of Kennecott Utah Copper. Responsible for a $250 million operating budget and $150 million dollar capital budget. Operations, technical and safety personnel reported to this position with financial, project engineering, technology and innovation and business improvement personnel matrixed to the position. Reduced operating expenses by $20 million in 1.5 years, improved molybdenum recovery by 15.6% and improved plant capacity 20%. Improved copper recovery by 8.6% and demonstrated 10.8 percent improvement in grinding capacity without compromising grind size. Introduced behavioral safety concepts which resulted in no recordable injuries for 440 days. Operation won the 2014 Sentinnels of Safety Award for the best safety record for large mining operations in 2014.

Reporting to the Chairman of the Board and CEO. Full P/L responsibility for a $100 million business serving the Refinery and Sulfuric Acid markets. Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Financial personnel report to this position. Accomplishments in the first year include a strategic reorganization netting $650K in annualized savings, restructuring of the maintenance function generating $500K in savings, and $1.6 million in operating cost reductions. The business unit exceeded Plan EBITDA by $6.7 million and exceeded prior year EBITDA results by $8.4 million.

Reporting to the CEO, this position is responsible for Operations, Engineering and EHS of a $400 million enterprise and 45 plants. Responsibilities include development of strategic manufacturing and expansion plans, management of a $25 million capital budget, manufacturing site selection, construction cost estimating, due diligence evaluations, integration of acquired companies and operational consulting to enhance the return of underperforming assets. Key accomplishments have included reduction of workers compensation costs from $1 million annually to less than $100 K in four years, improvement of TCIR/DART indices to ACC Best in Class over a three year period, annual utility cost reductions of $500k, annual raw material cost savings of $500-$1MM via use of alternate materials, construction of one new plant or major process per year on Plan and budget, accretive integration of at least one acquisition per year and annual savings of $1MM through recycling and reuse initiatives.

Reporting to Sector Vice President. P/L responsibility for a $100 million business serving the Refinery and Sulfuric Acid Markets. Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing and Financial personnel report to this position. Successfully integrated a $45 million acquisition which improved revenue by 33% and net income by 25%, negotiated $15 million in long term contract extensions, manufacturing cost reductions of $2 million dollars annually and development of a strategic plan designed to grow the business to in excess of $200 million in sales by year end 2001.

Reporting to Business Group Executive, P/L responsibility for a $20 million Canadian based company with products serving the Water Treatmant Industry. Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales and Financial personnel report to this position. Key accomplishments included a 20% reduction in manpower, negotiation of $200k in transportation cost reductions, $140k in raw material savings, improvement of gross margins by 3% and significant improvement of financial systems.

Reporting to the General Manager, Water Chemicals. responsible for the manufacturing activity of a $70 million business unit producing commodity and specialty chemicals for the Water Treatment Industry. Managed 30 North American production facilities. achieved $1 million in cost savings through headcount reductions, alternative raw material substitution, transporation cost optimization and negotiation of flexibility in labor contracts.

Position reported to the Vice President of the Division and was responsible for special project assignments in the Derivative Products Group.

Managed the manufacturing facility for a $60 million Photo Chemicals business consisiting of 4 continuous plants and one batch plant. Results included increased capacity in 3 of 5 plants by 25%, reduction in headcount by 20% and reduction of scrap and rework by 15%. Overall results yielded cost savings of $1 million.

Responsible for the manufacturing operation of a $20 million chemical manufacturing operation which produced products for the Printing Industry. Implemented a Total Qaulity Management System including operational SPC, employee involvement systems and self directed work teams. Effort yielded $800k in manufacturing cost savings in the first 18 months.

Managed 45 Quality Assurance Technicians, Technology Specialists, and technicians assigned to assure the quakity of incoming components, raw materials and finished products. Installed a company wide Modern Quality System, Self Directed work Teams and SPC on the manufacturing floor. Following complete implementation, staff was reduced to 25 without compromising finished product quality.
