Principal Process Engineer within Merrick. I am head of the process group, managing a team of 24 engineers to execute projects in the Energy and Nuclear Services fields. I also work on a variety of projects. Projects include conventional and renewable energy, bioprocessing, nuclear materials processing and nuclear reactor upgrades. Biofuels and biochemicals technologies include fermentation, gasification, thermochemical and algae processes. Nuclear projects include waste processing, uranium processing, medical isotope facility design and reactor cooling system upgrades.More recently, I have focused on projects in the Industrial Biotechnology sector. Products include a range of fuels, chemicals and nutraceuticals. In addition, I have been managing The Merrick Consultancy, which is a network of Subject Matter Experts we call upon to solve the technical challenges which crop up when implementing novel processes.

Senior process engineer working on a variety of radioactive waste processing projects. These included legacy high level waste at DOE sites, depleted uranium hexafluoride. These projects employed a range of technologies including ion exchange, precipitation, solvent extraction, thermal processing.
