From September 2014 - February 2015 - I worked on the ACH (Automated Clearing House) Production Support team. As a part of this team, I was responsible for facilitating our weekly production support meetings, where we discussed issues and challenged the team to come up with solutions. I was also one of the main points of contact for process improvement initiatives. The Business side of ACH would propose improvements based on client needs, and I would be the liason between them and the technology side; I would help to elicit business requirements, functional / non-functional requirements, and create estimates of costs / hours required. I was also responsible for documenting ACH's interfaces with applications across the bank, and created a document repository that has become the main source of information for ACH's interfaces.Since February 2015, I have been a member of the Treasury Management Payment Services Business Technology Team. This is a group of BSAs responsible for working with all Treasury Management Applications. In particular, my responsibilities have included: - Developing Functional Requirements for new technology systems or applications to be implemented in the bank.- Organizing meetings between major business and technology stakeholders to expand on specific requirements and compromise on an appropriate project plan.- Contributing to the development of test plans / test cases- Providing solutions when bugs arise during testing.

Software Engineering Intern

Pnc

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Us

As an intern, I worked in the Treasury Management department with the Pinacle support team. (Pinacle is an application used by Corporate Banking clients) During this time, I researched the email template creation engine Velocity, and presented my findings to my team members as to whether or not it would be a useful tool. Once it's usefulness was established, I worked with Velocity, Java, and XML to create email templates with unique rules for extracting customer data to be shown in notification emails sent to that customer.

Mis Intern

Pittsburgh, Pa, Us

During my time here, I worked mainly as an IT consultant, dealing with Windows XP issues, Microsoft Office issues, and any hardware repair for PCs, Printers, etc. During the summer, we had to deal with an issue where the company lost networking capabilities for 3 days due to a short circuit frying a series of ethernet switches. After getting networking capabilities back online, I worked with the MIS Lead to create a Disaster Recovery plan, which I then tested later that summer.
