During my tenure at Galen, I have delivered Mathematics instruction across all year levels, consistently seeking opportunities to enhance my skills as a comprehensive educator, especially through teaching Year 7 and 8 classes. Notable experiences at Galen include participating in Year 8 camp, Year 12 retreat, and coaching the senior girls' basketball team to a state championship.In 2019, I assumed the role of Learning Area Leader for Mathematics, a position that provided valuable opportunities for collaboration. Working alongside fellow educators within and beyond my domain, I focused on enhancing assessment and reporting practices. I championed the adoption of 'academic rigour,' ensuring both staff and students embraced rigorous academic standards. A source of pride is my contribution to ensuring consistency in teaching and reporting across Year 7 to 12 in mathematics.Throughout the challenges posed by the COVID pandemic, I led the mathematics team, successfully transitioning to online teaching and unifying the domain by encouraging resource sharing and mutual support among teachers. As Numeracy Leader, I crafted a comprehensive schoolwide approach to Numeracy, reflecting my commitment to fostering a numerate learning environment.Dedicated to fostering a student-centered learning environment, my pedagogy is rooted in the principles of active engagement, critical thinking, and inclusive instruction. I leverage a variety of teaching methodologies, adapting to diverse learning styles, and utilising innovative approaches to create dynamic and enriching educational experiences. I taught a diverse range of subjects to junior and senior students, including Mathematics year 7-11, Science year 7-10, and English/SOSE for year 7-8. During my second year of teaching, I served as an assistant to the year 10 Coordinator, actively participating in ceremonies that honoured students. I endorsed students to participate in both the Knox Young Leaders and Youth Parliament.In 2011, I assumed the role of Year 7 Coordinator, where my responsibilities included collaborating with parents, organising camps and excursions, implementing pastoral care programs, conducting mediation sessions using restorative practices, introducing an iPad program, initiating an interactive whiteboard program, developing curriculum, and providing leadership to various staff members.Upon my return to St. Joseph's College, I took on the role of a VCE teacher, specialising in Mathematics for Year 10-12 students. I had exceptional results with many students getting study scores of 40+. I enthusiastically embraced opportunities to work with junior students as well. In 2017, I expanded my teaching portfolio to include Religious Education for Year 10 students. Notably, I had the privilege of guiding two students to perfect 50 study scores in Further Mathematics in 2015.In 2017, serving as the Year 11 Coordinator (Year 10 Coordinator in 2016), I managed the well-being of over 180 students. I collaborated with community educators from organisations such as VicPol, VicRoads (Fit2Drive), and Brainstorm Production. During this period, I pursued my Masters in Education (Mathematics Leadership), securing a partial scholarship from the CEO and St. Joseph's. I successfully completed higher education at Galen Catholic College.

Fortunate to teach in two remote Northern Territory communities, I contributed to Ramingining School, located approximately 550 km east of Darwin. Situated in an area so remote that roads were inaccessible for around six months annually, necessitating bi-weekly barge deliveries for food and fuel. In my role as the Year 7 teacher at Ramingining, I covered various subjects, including Mathematics, Accelerated Literacy, Quicksmart, Health, Cooking, History, and Art. Embracing the challenge of bolstering attendance through positive awards and routine, our efforts were recognised with a Smart School award for excellence in attendance in 2012, with my average attendance exceeding 80%. In 2014, I transitioned to Milingimbi, a remote island, where I assumed the role of Senior Teacher. This dynamic position allowed me to enhance organisational skills while overseeing the Secondary School. Key responsibilities included addressing challenges such as elevating attendance, instructing year 10-12 classes with sizes exceeding 40 students, developing VET and project-based learning programs, collaborating with teachers of varying abilities, and participating in Arnhem Sports.
