Developed and integrated a web-based search engine for the ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) database using Artesia’s TEAMS digital asset management system. All system development was done with Java Servlets/JSP with the TEAMS APIs and using Oracle 8.1.7 as the database management system (DBMS). Data conversion was accomplished with XSLT, Java, and Perl.Installation/configuration of BEA’s Weblogic Java application server, Stratify’s web-crawler/discovery and classifier system, SQL Server 2000, Oracle 8.1.7, JRUN, ColdFusion 4.5.2, Veritas, IIS, DNS/Bind, Apache, and Sendmail.Designed and developed a web-based online data entry system to support the 16 ERIC Clearinghouses and the ERIC Facility. System was developed using ColdFusion (4.5.2), Active Server Pages (ASP), and SQL Server 2000. The system supports approximately 100 users, and includes workflow management, data validation, administrative functions, and many custom reporting options.Responsible for operating, maintaining, and upgrading all ERIC Facility computer software systems, including the STAR/DB2000 system for database activities, Adobe Framemaker for publishing, the Acquisitions Data Report (ADR) system, the ERIC Facility Web Site, and the PowerBuilder-based front-end processing system for ERIC data.Designed, developed and implemented several dynamic websites at the ERIC Facility using ColdFusion, Active Server Pages, SQL Server, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks. Duties included user account administration, backups, security and hardware/software maintenance.
