Sr. Web Developer assigned to build the next generation of PsycNET platform. Provided module designs and development of this large-scale, publicly accessible search system. The highly complex system was re-built using Angular2 and NodeJS in a Cloud-based environment. Designed and implemented integration points into other search and authentication platforms using asynchronous REST calls. Implemented XSLT 2.0 transformation process for full-text published materials. Tools include: AngularJS/Angular2, NodeJS, Typescript, XML/XLST 2.0, RESTful Web services, JSON, MarkLogic, CloudFront, AWS Lambda, CodeDeploy, Bitbucket/git, DataDog.Development and maintenance of psycnet website (http://psycnet.apa.org). Includes adding new functionality, bug fixes and unit testing. Development uses Coldfusion, adhering to Fusebox and Coldspring frameworks. Other technologies: SQL, XML, XSTL, HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript (nodejs,angular2), jQuery, and RESTful web services.Investigate and evaluate new technologies and approaches for incorporation into new/existing web/business processes. He has 9 years of project management experience supervising a team of 2-10 application developers and analysts. He has excellent hardware/software troubleshooting skills covering a broad spectrum of technologies and platforms, the ability to work independently or in a team environment and strong written and verbal communications skills. He can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and can adhere to strict deadlines.Supervised a team of 2-10 application developers to support the requirements of the ERIC contract. Systems were primarily written in JAVA with web interfaces, and other technologies (SOAP, XML, ColdFusion, JMS, jQuery) were utilized as necessary. Responsibilities included resource planning, scheduling, providing sound cost/hours estimates and weekly status meetings/reports to evaluate progress.Supervised the virtualization and modernization of the ERIC production/test environment in the CSC/ERIC datacenter. As part of this process, CSC implemented VMWare 4 and created virtual machines for all software systems that would support virtualization. Several applications were ported from Microsoft Windows to Red Hat Linux to reduce support costs. BEA Weblogic was replaced by JBoss 5, and Oracle 9.2 was replaced by Microsoft SQL Server 2008. Responsibilities included project planning, hours estimates for application support and weekly status meetings.Supervised the implementation of all ERIC backoffice systems including web-based applications for workflow/metadata generation, agreements administration, serials management, reporting and legacy metadata changes.

Developed and integrated a web-based search engine for the ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) database using Artesia’s TEAMS digital asset management system. All system development was done with Java Servlets/JSP with the TEAMS APIs and using Oracle 8.1.7 as the database management system (DBMS). Data conversion was accomplished with XSLT, Java, and Perl.Installation/configuration of BEA’s Weblogic Java application server, Stratify’s web-crawler/discovery and classifier system, SQL Server 2000, Oracle 8.1.7, JRUN, ColdFusion 4.5.2, Veritas, IIS, DNS/Bind, Apache, and Sendmail.Designed and developed a web-based online data entry system to support the 16 ERIC Clearinghouses and the ERIC Facility. System was developed using ColdFusion (4.5.2), Active Server Pages (ASP), and SQL Server 2000. The system supports approximately 100 users, and includes workflow management, data validation, administrative functions, and many custom reporting options.Responsible for operating, maintaining, and upgrading all ERIC Facility computer software systems, including the STAR/DB2000 system for database activities, Adobe Framemaker for publishing, the Acquisitions Data Report (ADR) system, the ERIC Facility Web Site, and the PowerBuilder-based front-end processing system for ERIC data.Designed, developed and implemented several dynamic websites at the ERIC Facility using ColdFusion, Active Server Pages, SQL Server, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks.
