A core, senior member of Oxera’s Telecoms, Media and Technology (TMT) team applying economics to competition, regulatory and public policy issues faced by our clients in the telecoms and digital sectors.Examples of projects undertaken in this role include: - Advised the Regulatory Authority of Bermuda on its review of all electronic communications markets in the island, including developing and implementing regulatory remedies;- Advised a Czech mobile network provider throughout the European Commission antitrust investigation (Article 101) into mobile network sharing; - Delivered microeconomics and industrial organisation training to the Irish telecoms regulator, ComReg; - Advised a telecoms regulator on a consumer protection investigation, including on the level of financial penalty to apply; - Provided a report for the Broadband Stakeholder Group on the impact at a local level of investments in very high capacity networks such as full-fibre and 5G.

Examples of projects in which I provided support to senior colleagues in this role include:- For a European mobile operator, assessment of competition in pre-paid mobile market within a European Member state, reviewing on-net and off-net pricing differentials and supporting the operator through a competition complaint (2011-2013).- A report for the International Telecommunication Union on regulation and competition in a converged broadband world (2012).- A report for the FTTH Council Europe on regulatory policy and the roll-out of fibre-to-the-home (2012).

As a junior team member, I provided research support to senior team members across a large number of projects. I adapted quickly to the consulting environment, learning on the job and putting myself forward for projects that would increase my exposure to situations that would help me develop. Notably, shortly after joining DotEcon I undertook a secondment with the Commission for Communications Regulation in Ireland (ComReg), from February - July 2011. Spending three days a week at the ComReg headquarters in Dublin, I assisted in the production of a public document on all aspects of an award of spectrum in the 800 MHz, 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequency bands.
