While JapaneseBaseball.com is my hobby site, the independent work that I do is related, often using my work there as a basis for building new databases and web sites. The site itself hasn't been updated in many years as I haven't had the time and, with newspapers finally joining the Internet, the need for such a community has mostly evaporated.

Running the Japan side of things for Bob Bavasi's JapanBall Tickets. My main duties are purchasing tickets to sporting events in Japan for visitors to Japan and seeing to it that the tickets get to them in a timely manner. Beyond that, I give advice on how to get to the various venues, proper etiquette, what's allowed and not, and quell a host of other worries that first time visitors may have.Naturally, I also bring my programming skills to modify the CRM shopping cart that we use (in a way it was not intended) to reduce the number of mistaken orders (there were literally hundreds who ordered non-existent venues the first year) and streamline the process. That streamlining has contributed to being able to better accept requests for venues such as concerts and football (soccer).

Write a two-page column for the bi-monthly Japanese "Baseball Magazine" along a given topic that the issue focuses on.
