I am responsible for the delivery of the mechanical package of the next contender from Cambridge University Eco Racing in the World Solar Challenge 2015. This will involve structural analysis and optimisation of the carbon fibre monocoque chassis, performing vehicle dynamics simulations to ensure the stability of the car and I will also be heavily involved in the manufacture and testing of the car, both in the UK before the event and in Australia for the race.

I spent just over a year working in the Red Bull Technology Stress Department. During this year I completed stress calculations for a variety of parts, including carbon suspension members and metallic brake components. Parts were analysed using both FEA and classical 'hand calc' techniques where appropriate.

2 week summer work experience placement where I completed tasks in CATIA V5 as well as performing engineering calculations and optimisation of a steering column using MS Excel.

Summer work placements, involved with R&D testing, results analysis and presentation. Also became familiar with Siemens NX 7.5
