I was promoted to this role in January 2011. I retained my responsibilities with regards to my previous role as Head of Finance for the Broker Division.In addition to this i now also have responsibility for the agency department which includes new broker approval and ongoing broker review processes.A core feature of my role is having responsibility for the ongoing review, setting and appraisal of our strategic plan.I also have the responsibility for the broker audit team and for the strategic direction of Broker MI.

After Highway Insurance was acquired by Liverpool Victoria I was offered the role of Head of GI Finance – Broker Division. Some of the key activities that I have undertaken since the acquisition include the following:- Key involvement in the disposal process of Hero Insurance to Capita Insurance- Member of the Highway integration project team- Member of the LV Broker Executive Board- Preparation of Group Board submissions on behalf of the GI Finance Director- Establishment of the Broker Decision support team, a team of four direct reports- Responsibility for preparing the core monthly financial management reports and presenting them to Group and to the Broker Exec- Working with the business to formulate the business plan for the broker division- Providing input from a finance perspective on GI Broker Division business projects and initiatives- Presenting the finance part at the annual GI staff updates- Being nominated as the Liverpool Victoria GI representative on a Munich Re backed scholarship
