As the Assistant General Counsel of Sumitomo Electric USA Holdings, Inc. (SEUHO), I oversee the ethics and compliance programs for the company's operations in the Americas. SEUHO is a subsidiary of Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd., a Fortune Global 500 manufacturing conglomerate. In this role, I am responsible for ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, conducting internal investigations, and providing legal advice and training on various compliance topics.Before joining SEUHO, I held senior positions in a major media company and in the private legal sector, where I developed expertise in antitrust, government/internal investigations, and corporate compliance. I was the Senior Director of Compliance at Discovery, Inc. (now known as Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc.), a global media company. There, I led worldwide investigations and compliance training, and reported to the Audit Committee and the outside auditor. I was also a partner at two large law firms, where I represented clients in complex litigation and investigations, including criminal antitrust and FCPA cases. Additionally, I served as a federal prosecutor for the United States Department of Justice, where I handled criminal antitrust cases, congressional investigations, and special assignments. I earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts from George Mason University. I am passionate about promoting a culture of compliance, integrity, accountability, and excellence at Sumitomo Electric and generally within the legal profession.
