Principal Analyst, Information Assurance
CurrentResponsible for developing and managing Information Systems Security, including disaster recovery, database protection and software development. Performs IT security analysis to ensure that all applications are functional and secure. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Develops, implements, and executes an organizational Network Defense strategy that is compliant with all local, state and federal guidelines for Information Systems and Security. Performs independent assessment of the information security posture of an organization using applicable tools. Assesses information network threats such as computer viruses and cyber threats. Provides technical oversight of the operation of vulnerability assessment equipment in support of penetration analysis and provides technical guidance. Prepares evaluation reports and recommends remedial action. Directs the work of other skill sets performing a variety of information security tasks.
