Dr. Michael Wilhelm currently serves in the role of Associate Provost of Global Partnerships and International Education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), and is responsible for Education Abroad, International Student and Scholar Services and the CEA-Accredited English as a Second Language program. As the Senior International Officer, Michael also leads campus-wide international enrollment management efforts, globalization of the curriculum and faculty training, international grant support, and advances international activities. Michael has been involved in international education at public universities for the last twenty years and has specialized in student and scholar services, immigration policy, and recruitment at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He is active in NAFSA, Diversity Abroad, and AIEA and a frequent presenter at national and international conferences.
