CurrentMy current role is the head of estate and facilities on a 1000-hectare site which compromises of >200 buildings (technical and domestic). I am responsible for full gamut of total facilities management with several industrial partners – VIVO, ESS, MITIE and Babcock HADES: planning, monitoring, assurance, managing budgets, utilities, reactive & preventive maintenance (SFG 20 compliance), environmental standards & achieving targets, contract delivery and implementation (against KPIs) and daily management of a large multi-skilled team (Service Personnel, Civil Service and contractors).I am also head of SHEF for Security for MOD Lyneham a complex and challenging garrison which has different sites to manage with the added complexity of operational units mixing with Phase 2 training establishment. I need to make sure all 15 organisations that make up MOD Lyneham are secure and safe in accordance with statutory compliance and MOD policy.I oversee the running costs of the site, which is in the region of £2.5M per annum, engaging with key stakeholders and contractors daily, reporting to multiple senior managers on a weekly and monthly basis. I’m responsible for ensuring MOD Lyneham is ready for the 15 different type of assurance regimes (Inc 2nd Party & 3rd Party) that assess/inspect a fully operational Defence estate. I'm responsible for the mgmt and assurance of all logistic material accounting of over £350M in technical equipment to support the delivery of technical training and operations.
