Principal Accountabilities:• Support process development including standard operating procedures and work instructions.• Daily management of 20+ colleagues.• Basis managerial responsibility for staffing levels and supporting immediate line manager for Return to works, appraisals, absence management, incident investigations• Joint responsibility for continuous improvement within the warehouse such as GEMBA walks and VSM events as directed by the Logistic Transformation Manager.• Lead key warehousing sections for inbound, outbound, pick & pack, replenishment and stock taking.• Responsible for all health & safety across site and promoting a safe atmosphere in which to work.• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly staff briefs• Liaise with other departments – finance, production, BOM planning, procurement and HSE• Deliver training packages to colleaguesKey Achievements / Projects:• Embraced the introduction of a new ERP system which what was an extremely complex system for the company achieving tight timelines and maintained operations, including training personnel and updating processes.• Worked with Logistic Transformation Manager to deliver LEAN processes such as SQCDM and 5S achiveving a 100% positive scoring on internal Quality and EHS audits and recognised at CEO level for best practices. • Supported the development of a numerous continuous improvement activities which delivered improved and effective company procedures leading to decreased material pick times to production whilst simultaneously improving stock accuracy from 22% to 92%.
