Originally this role was with DreamWorks UK until its acquisition by Universal Studios Limited in September 2016. Drafting and negotiating:- licensing agreements (package and output) for the sale of programmes to broadcasters, VOD platforms and home video distributors, including Turner Broadcasting, Canal+, ITV, BBC, Google and ABC;- various forms of agreement for the company's production projects (i.e. Postman Pat and Noddy), i.e. writer, talent and production facility agreements. - facilities agreements for the company's channel operations in Asia, Africa and Middle East, including channel feed preparation, video hosting and playout agreements. Other aspects of my role include giving advice on day-to-day commercial matters, providing updates on developments in media law and IP that affect the company and liaising with colleagues in the US regarding policy matters and company procedure.

Providing legal and business affairs support to BBC Worldwide's international sales & distribution arm.

During my training contract I undertook the following seats:(1) 6 month commercial seat at 2 Entertain Limited (wholly owned subsidiary of BBC Worldwide Limited);(2) 6 month corporate seat at Reed Smith LLP;(3) 6 month commercial/technology seat with the BBC's future media department; and(4) 6 month contentious seat with the BBC's intellectual property litigation department.

In this role I was responsible for drafting inwards and outwards licensing agreements, trading terms and other commercial documents. I also undertook general legal research for the legal department and some contract management.
